Refund policy

Effective date: 30 September 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when payments made through PeerNest may be cancelled, rescheduled, credited or refunded.

PeerNest is currently operated by Nitanth Mouli MM and Srujana Gandla, pending formal incorporation.

By purchasing or booking a paid service through PeerNest, you agree to this policy together with our Terms of Service.

1. Scope

This policy may apply to paid PeerNest services including:

  • one-to-one mentorship sessions;
  • group mentorship sessions;
  • paid events, workshops, masterclasses and AMAs;
  • competitions, hackathons or similar experiences where a participation fee is charged; and
  • other digital services introduced by PeerNest.

Different services may have additional cancellation conditions displayed before purchase. Where specific terms are clearly shown for a particular service, those terms may apply in addition to this policy.

2. Mentorship Session Cancellations by Students

If you need to cancel a mentorship session, please do so as early as possible.

More than 24 hours before the session

If a cancellation request is received more than 24 hours before the scheduled session, you may choose between:

  • rescheduling the session, subject to mentor availability; or
  • requesting a refund of the amount paid for that session.

Between 6 and 24 hours before the session

If a cancellation is made between 6 and 24 hours before the scheduled session, PeerNest may offer:

  • one rescheduling opportunity; or
  • PeerNest credit for a future eligible session.

A cash refund may not normally be available for cancellations made within this period unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Less than 6 hours before the session

Cancellations made less than 6 hours before the scheduled session may be treated as late cancellations and may not be eligible for a refund.

PeerNest may still consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

3. Student No-Shows

If a student does not attend a scheduled mentorship session and does not cancel or contact PeerNest in advance, the booking may be treated as completed.

A refund is generally not available for a no-show.

Where reasonable, PeerNest may assist with rescheduling at its discretion.

4. Mentor Cancellation or No-Show

If a mentor cancels a paid session or fails to attend, the student will not lose the amount paid for that session.

The student may choose between:

  • rescheduling with the same mentor;
  • booking another eligible mentor; or
  • receiving a refund for the affected session.

PeerNest will not require a student to pay an additional fee solely because the original mentor cancelled.

5. Significant Session Problems

If a mentorship session cannot meaningfully take place because of a verified platform issue, mentor-side technical failure or another problem attributable to PeerNest or the mentor, we may offer:

  • a replacement session;
  • rescheduling;
  • account credit; or
  • a refund.

Minor interruptions that do not materially prevent the session from taking place may not automatically qualify for a full refund.

6. Events

PeerNest may conduct online or offline events including workshops, masterclasses, AMAs, panels, competitions and hackathons, as contemplated by our Terms of Service. Pasted text

Unless different cancellation terms are shown during registration:

Cancellation by the participant

If you cancel a paid event registration:

  • more than 48 hours before the event, you may request a refund or event credit;
  • less than 48 hours before the event, the registration fee may be non-refundable.

For events where PeerNest has already incurred participant-specific costs, certain amounts may not be refundable where permitted by applicable law and where this was disclosed in advance.

7. Event Cancellation by PeerNest

If PeerNest cancels a paid event and does not provide a suitable replacement date or equivalent alternative, affected participants will be eligible for a refund of the amount paid to PeerNest for that event.

If an event is postponed, participants may be offered:

  • registration for the rescheduled event;
  • credit toward another eligible PeerNest event; or
  • a refund where appropriate.

8. Event Speaker or Schedule Changes

Speakers, mentors, schedules, venues and individual event activities may occasionally change.

A change that does not materially alter the primary purpose of the event does not automatically create a right to a refund.

If PeerNest makes a substantial change to a paid event, affected participants may contact us and we will review the circumstances.

9. Digital Services and Immediate Access

Certain future PeerNest services may provide immediate access to digital content, memberships, communities, reports or other digital features.

Once a digital service has been substantially delivered or accessed, it may not be eligible for a refund unless:

  • the service was materially defective;
  • the service was not delivered as described;
  • access could not reasonably be provided; or
  • applicable law requires otherwise.

Any specific refund terms for such services will be shown before purchase.

10. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

If you are charged more than once for the same transaction, please contact PeerNest with the relevant payment details.

Once the duplicate payment is verified, the additional amount will be refunded.

If an incorrect amount is charged due to a verified PeerNest or payment-processing error, we will take reasonable steps to correct the transaction.

11. Failed Payments

A payment shown as pending, failed or unsuccessful does not necessarily mean that PeerNest has received the funds.

If your account is debited but the transaction does not appear as successful, please contact us and provide:

  • the email or phone number associated with the booking;
  • transaction or reference number;
  • payment date;
  • amount paid; and
  • relevant payment proof where necessary.

PeerNest may need to verify the transaction with the applicable payment provider before issuing a refund or confirming the booking.

12. Refund Method

Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method where technically possible.

Where this is not possible, PeerNest may request verified payment or bank information to process the refund through another appropriate method.

Users should never send passwords, OTPs, PINs or other authentication credentials to PeerNest.

13. Refund Processing Time

Once PeerNest approves a refund, we will aim to initiate it within 5–7 business days.

The time required for the refunded amount to appear in your account may depend on the bank, UPI provider, card issuer, payment gateway or other payment service used.

Processing times outside PeerNest's control may vary.

14. Promotional Discounts and Credits

If a booking was purchased using a promotional discount, the maximum cash refund will generally be limited to the amount actually paid.

Promotional credits, coupons or non-cash benefits may:

  • be restored;
  • be replaced with equivalent credit; or
  • expire,

depending on the terms of the applicable promotion.

15. Refund Abuse

PeerNest may refuse or review refund requests involving suspected:

  • payment fraud;
  • repeated abuse of cancellation policies;
  • false claims;
  • manipulated payment evidence; or
  • other misuse of the platform.

This does not affect rights that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Exceptional Circumstances

PeerNest understands that genuine emergencies can occur.

We may consider exceptions for circumstances including serious emergencies, verified technical failures or other situations where applying the standard cancellation rule would be unreasonable.

These requests will be reviewed individually.

17. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

To request a cancellation, rescheduling or refund, contact PeerNest through the Contact page or the support channel provided with your booking.

Please include:

  • your name;
  • registered email address or phone number;
  • booking or payment reference;
  • service or event name;
  • date of the booking or event; and
  • reason for the request.

Providing complete information may help us process the request faster.

18. Changes to This Policy

PeerNest may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy as the platform and its services develop.

The latest version will be published on the PeerNest website with the applicable effective date.
